Sree Sree Siddalinga Mahaswamigalu : Leading lamp of Sree Siddaganga

Sree Sree Siddalinga Mahaswamigalu, the junior Swamiji of the Mutt, adorns the name of the founders of this Shrine, the Yediyuru Siddalingeshwara and an ardent disciple of His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamigalu.

Childhood:

He was born on 22nd July 1963 at Kanchugal Bandemath, in the Soluru Hobli, Magadi Taluk, of Bangalroe Rural District. His parents are Sree Sadasivaiah and Smt. Sivarudramma, the Sharanas, in work and spirit. Sree Sree Swamiji's foster name was "Vishwanatha" and was the last child of his parents.

Education:

He began his primary schooling, from his birth place, Kanchugal Bandemath. Observing his love for learning, he was sent to Degulamath in Kanakapura for his High School. During this period, as per the wish of Sree Sree Mahalinga Swamiji of Kanakapura, he was sent to Sree Siddaganga Gurukula and came under the care of His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji and stayed in old Mutt. He began learning Sanskrit and also pursued his College education. Thus, he continued his higher and spiritual education. During this period, he was fully involved in the service of Sree Sree Swamiji.

Initiation to Mutt:

On January 26,1988, he entered the virakthashrama in the true tradition of Sree Siddaganga Mutt. During the turbulent times the Mutt was facing in the mid-1980s, Sree Siddaganga Mutt could find in him a true successor to Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumar Swamiji. On March 31, 1988 he was initiated in as Junior Swamiji of the Mutt and joined in the tradition of great sages of Sree Sree Siddaganga Mutt.

Sree Sree Siddalinga Swamigalu
